The first clue this was nothing more than an unfortunate accident was my own experience. I was driving along with a ladder on the roof of my van, when a truck in front of me struck, and loosened an overhead wire. My van went through a very similar, and scary, stop.
Honestly, I didn't even have to do any real digging to debunk this one. The video with the explanation was posted on the EXACT SAME DAY that secureteam10 posted their hoax. It even appeared in the sidebar of related vids.
This is yet another example of the irresponsible presentation of information for the purpose of pecuniary gain.
